Motherhood

It's almost a full standard year since I met Orchid, when I first picked her up she was so hopeless, so nervous, malnourished, and could only speak broken basic, but she's come such a long way, when I adopted her I vowed to show her the same care that Yana showed me, whilst it's far from a normal childhood, I try my best to make sure she'll want for nothing, Zai says I spoil her, but given her start in life she deserves more than I could ever give her, in this short time she's become an irreplaceable part of my life, it can get tiring at times, balancing my duties to the Squadron, my training with Zai, and being a parent, but seeing her smile makes it all worth while, I've never once regretted it, the affection and love she shows me is something I truly treasure.

Been a long time since I've indulged in some cute stuff with Quinn and Orchid, long overdue I must say, I just wanted to draw something nice, of them spending time together, watching something via holonet, probably a kid's movie or something, Orchid is having a lot of fun, and Quinn it treasuring that.

At this point they share Quinn's room, Orchid's bed it the bottom bunk and Quinn's is above, over time it's accumulated a lot of toys, thanks in part to Zai, he now works for Isabelle sourcing supplies for the Rebels, though when he goes on a supply run he takes orders from the crew for personal items (from extra food, to leisure items, he charges them for the cost of the item, plus a percentage, to make a profit), and Quinn always pays him to get more toys for Orchid, while he thinks Quinn spoils her, he's not one to turn down the extra credits, as such Orchid has plenty of toys strewn about the place, from action figures, to plushies, to even a formerly busted Mouse Droid that Chase re-purposed into a remote control toy. Orchid's favourite plush, the one she's holding, was her first toy, Ruuka the Tooka, it used to belong to Quinn, who accidentally packed it in her bag when she left Da'hren, Orchid treasures the thing. 

As well as toys there are a lot of drawings on the walls, as Orchid likes to doodle, drawings of her and her friend Maya, of her and Quinn, of Quinn in her space suit, or with her lightsaber, of space ships, and even space ships made out of paper hang from the ceiling, and on the top of Orchid's bunk is a poster for a holo series she enjoys, a kids show called "Wild Space" about a group of adventurers exploring Wild Space.

This was a lot of fun to draw, especially to show their room, and draw all the little details, these two are always a joy as well.
