Just another Day in the office

Me and Orchid, we had a bit of a routine, it wasn't something I'd ever encourage, but no matter how I tried, it wasn't something I could stop... I'd deploy, ready to carry out my mission, and she'd always find a way to be there with me, sneaking out, hiding in the gunner seat of my Y-wing, she even stole an X-wing one time, in a way I kinda' blame myself, bad habits, y'know? But at the same time, whenever I encountered her following me, hiding in my ship, blatantly disobeying me just to be close, I couldn't help but feel happy... It's amazing how brave that scared little girl could be, fear of being left alone completely overriding the fear of death... Quinn Shara's memoirs, Rebel Alliance years, reflecting on her relationship with Orchid, her adopted Chiss daughter.

More Star Wars OC AU art. I actually drew this weeks ago, but I was kinda me'h about it, and didn't finish colouring it, but I decided to finish it last night for some reason, and here it is.  

This is basically a day in the life of Quinn Shara, fighting a war whilst raising a kid, and often both at the same time, literally. 

The story here is pretty much the Rebellion are attacking secret Imperial shipyard, the facility is hidden in Hutt space, and is largely funded by Porunga the Hutt's cartel in exchange for Imperial customs turning a blind eye to his illicit drug trade. Porunga is another OC who I haven't drawn yet, he's a deformed Hutt who's father, considering him a runt, tried to eat him, however he survived by himself eating his way out and claiming his father's cartel for himself... Hutts are gross, not even gonna lie. Quinn has several run ins with his cartel after her subordinate Nox, due to her Glitterstim and Deathstick addictions, becomes indebted to them, after rescuing Nox from nearly being sold into slavery Quinn earns the ire of the vile gangster, who puts a deathmark on her name. However this proves oddly advantageous, as she learns that his cartel are funding the construction of Imperial warships.

In a bold move Quinn rallies some Rebellion forces to strike at the biggest of these shipyards in a three-stage attack, first Quinn and a small task force infiltrate the facility, weakening structural points, disabling the defense grid, and providing a diversion for the forces stationed there, next the Rebellion sends in transports to free and evacuate the slave laborers working on the construction, and finally a Rebellion attack force, consisting of warships, fighters, and bombers attack the weakened structures and destroy the facility. The attack not only serves to damage both the Empire's Navy expansion and the Hutt cartels, but also helps fracture the relationship between both factions.

Really though, I just wanted to draw something cute where Quinn was carrying Orchid underarm. XD

I added Quinns scar last night, since that's new.
Eheh, this whole thing is kinda' messy, but I hope you like it anyhow.
