Je suis Paris.

My thoughts today are with the victims of last night's attacks in Paris, may they rest in peace, and my condolences to their loved ones... 

I followed the news coverage all through the night and the morning, my mind filled with both deep sorrow and anger, however today is not the time for anger, it is a day of mourning and respect.

Never forget though, that the true target of terrorism is freedom, freedom of speech, freedom of expression, freedom of ideas, in a way, it's censorship at it's most depraved, imposed upon the public under fear of violence...

But remember, only bad ideas require censorship to survive, because they cannot survive in a free and open marketplace of ideas, where they're open to criticism, they can only survive by silencing their critics, which is all the more reason we should stand together, united and defiant. 

I do ask, however, for you to please not not lash out in anger, especially against Moderate Muslims, such acts will only further fan the flames of hatred, Moderate Muslims are NOT the enemy.

The enemy is Extremism, and Fundamentalism, those which adhear strictly to outdated tenents espoused by bloodthirsty Radicals, who seek to silence freedom by dividing us through fear. 

Together though, we can defeat these venomous ideologies, joined in solidarity as friends, our weapons of choice freedom, and reason.
