HEY FOLKS - BACK FROM MCM COMIC CON MANCHESTER IT'S MIDORINOHONOO!!!
I want to thank everybody for their birthday wishes, I really appreciate it!
I had an epic time, and a wonderful birthday, I bought loads of epic stuff, and even made some great new friends!!!
Sooo... Where to begin... I got up at 4AM and arrived at the first Train Station for 5:50AM, where I met one of my old college friends, Chris, he's totally epic, and he bought my ticket as a Birthday present, I'm so freaking greatful, words just cannot express his epicness!
On the way I ran into another old college friend who was dressed as Artyom from Metro, I thought it was ironic that he was travelling by train! XD We had a good laugh, and since he's been to Manchester Comic Con in the past he showed us the way from the station to the Con center! Since we got early tickets we got in at 9AM!
Once in I immediately made the mistake of buying something massive at the start of the Con...
But it was something I just HAD to have...
Now I had five objectives set in my mind for this Con...
1. Make some friends.
2. Buy a Mobile Suit/Gundam Kit.
3. Find a book with a heavy focus on my fetish... (Glasses)
4. Find some Yuri Manga.
5. Get a Keyblade.
The first thing I bought was a huge Master Grade Mobile Suit Kit, not just of any suit, but my favourite!!! CHAR AZNABLE'S MSN 04 SAZABI!!! My second objective was a massive success! Though... It wouldn't properly fit in the bag, so I had to carry it around awkwardly for the rest of the day...
I also picked up several manga books, one stall was selling books for just £1 each!
Not only that, I also came across something I've wanted for ages! It's a Shepherd (FemShep) Bishoujo Statue, and oh my god, she is beautiful!!! I first saw one in a Funimation Facebook contest, I wanted to enter, but wasn't able to... I never thought I'd find this here, but there she was! Before I could react she was in my bag (I DID pay, I'm not a thief, I just bought her so fast time couldn't react! XD), my god though, she's absolutely gorgeous, her face is so beautiful it puts porcelain to shame, and her pose so commanding, she is one of the most beautiful statues I've ever seen, hell the most beautiful, Kotobukiya did themselves proud with her, she is the very definition of Bishoujo.
Whilst wandering around I came across a stall that specialized in selling rare imported books from Japan, like artbooks and such, and found something that I truly fell in love with, an art book called... Glasse-ias, it's basically an artbook about girls in Glasses!!!! So yeah, I indulged my fetish and bought it... Don't judge me... XD
I also picked up the Bleach Official Animation Book: Vibes, and the Hardback Collectors Edition of Bleach volume 1 (By the way, I have all the Bleach mangas so far 1 to 57, but I just had to have the collector's edition! XD) and picked up a cheap Kisuke Urahara Figure!
After that was when I met up with Chris and his friends Alex, and Jamie, they're totally awesome, and I'm SO THANKFUL to them for putting up with me, my constant impulsive buying, and the occasional getting lost in the crowd, I hate my crappy eyesight sometimes... =_=; I told Chris about the rare book place and that I'd seen a One Piece artbook, since he's a huge One Piece fan, so we went there and he bought it! ^_^
Then I (Wandered off and) found a retro game stall, they were selling all kinds of old games, and I found one of my favourite games in the world, a PS2 classic I've spent every day regretting selling... Star Ocean: Till The End Of Time... That was the first game to ever make me feel, to ever make me cry, it was special to me, I'm so glad I have it now!!! ;u; After that I finally bought my Keyblade!
After a quick rest I was able to find Chris, Alex, and Jamie again, we all took some time to recharge our batteries, actually, speaking of batteries I was wearing my Neurowear Nekomimi ears! I had to replace the batteries a couple of times... XD
We then decided to leave the Expo (It was about... 2-3ish PM) and headed into Manchester, towards the shops, Chris wanted to find a rare comic, so we hit up the local comic stores, and my gawd... Manchester is heaven if you like comic stores... We went to several places, and one the guy noticed I was struggling with my Gundam Kit, he gave me a huge bag which actually held it properly, also he gave me a discount on an imported issue of Hobby Japan, it was priced at £12:99 and he said since we'd just came from Comic Con he'd give it to me for just £6! That guy is a Saint among men! I'll definitely visit that store next time I'm in Manchester!
Finally we spent a lovely afternoon just chilling out in Piccadilly Gardens, it was a beautiful end to a beautiful day, chilling in the warm sun, with the cool breeze, sharing ice-creams with my friends, in short, best birthday ever!
I was really sad when we reached the train station, I can't wait to see Alex and Jamie again, they're both awesome!
When I got home I pretty much collapsed onto my bed... It was such a perfect day... Here's to all the wonderful days ahead! I can't believe I'm 21 now... O_o;
By the way, if you want to see my full haul, I'll upload a photo of my loot soon! XD
Oh! Also I plan on commissioning some awesome artists! Hopefully the remainder of my money will've gone in the bank by tomorrow!

The moral of the story is: Don't buy the big thing straight of the mark, you'll pay for it with more than just money!
Prints?
Hey folks, its that time again, that time I always DREAD, I'm low on ink, and markers are a PAIN in the Bank to replace, I'm trying to save £200 so I can do a BIG bulk order (with that many I can both get a discount, AND hopefully the main colours I use should last till Summer) so I was wondering about maybe selling prints. Would anyone even be interested? What pieces of my work would people like (I'm open to suggestions!)? Where is the best place to even SELL prints since it seems DA doesn't seem to do that anymore? I also have a ko-fi tip jar (https://ko-fi.com/sith_art) if you're feeling generous, but there's no pressure, its a tough time of year for everyone, I'd really like to figure out Prints, so at least you'd also get something out of the deal. Anyway hope you have a good holiday season, Love & Peace. ^_^
title I guess
So apparently Ai generated shlock can get daily deviation awards? Man this site fucking sucks these days. : ) It ain't about artists no more, staff sold it's soul, and now we're inundated with a deluge of mass produced, robot-made garbage, never thought I'd miss the days where the worst thing about browsing this site was the risk of a furry fetish jumpscare (no offence if thats your thing, just ain't mine), but man, I'd rather risk picking up a new thing I wish I could bleach from my eyes than the flood of artificial shit. Its why I'm so rarely online here, DeviantArt has no heart anymore. This relentless encroachment by parasitic Leechware into art, its demoralising, and seeing artists you (used to) respect cave and start using it because "I cannot complete", it makes me sad... and angry. You sold your soul, and you sold out your peers, you're nothing more than defeatists, invertebrates. I'm legally blind, I have Dyspraxia, I still draw with my own hands, what's your excuse for
SithPosts!
Hey folks! As you can probably see if you're reading this ("probably" and "if" because Eclipse is STILL a mess...), I've had a little rebrand! What's changing...? Probably just the name honestly. Still the same old Midori, still the same Star Wars content, just a new name. I've wanted to change for a while now, though most folks know me as Midori (And i still like it too) so thats staying, I much prefer Sith Posts, more properly ties me to my Star Wars content. it also helps because I use MidoriSithPostsArt as my handle for my Twitter account, so it makes it easier to manage especially for signatures. (Though I sign my work in Aurebesh now, so I guess it doesn't matter to most folks who aren't Star Wars nerds xD) Art wise, I'm in... a bit of an awkward situation at home, tl;dr, I'm tying to move out, lockdown has made family life... hard, and I need distance. I'm hoping to get it sorted maybe in the new year, so art will be very sporadic for a while still, though at the very
*angry old man noises*
Okay folks, look, I can't stand Eclipse, and I'm still learning how to navigate this mess, but rest assured I'm not going anywhere, I'm a stubborn man, and I love the community who've congragated around mine and my friends' works, I'd hate to lose that. I AM still going to bitch and moan about it every step of the way though. xD
