Quinn fightin' sketches

Description

I owe my skills to Zomori, on Zai's insistence he taught me how to fight, I was just sixteen, and Zomori... Zomori was a two meter tall Zabrak built like a tank, even though he wasn't Force-Sensitive facing him was an intimidating prospect indeed, still I was determined, to prove to Zai I was worth training, that I could be a Jedi. The rules were simple, I had to fight Zomori, unarmed, without using the Force... First thing I learned: Zai is a jerk. The second thing I learned: Dodging was my best friend, seriously, you do NOT want to be in the way of Zomori's haymaker... But soon I really started to get the hang of things, dashing back and fourth, skirting in and out of reach, steadily testing the limits of my stamina, and Zomori's reach and endurance, counting how many hits I could dish out in between his swings, I learned to use my smaller size to my advantage, to duck underneath and around, hug blind spots, and ultimately control the tempo of the fight, honestly it was a thrilling experience, I trained with Zomori for a full month whilst Zai was away performing errands for Isabelle, I think he figured I couldn't compete with Zomori with those conditions in place, that I'd give up, but he underestimated how stubborn I am! ~Quinn Shara's memoirs, Early Rebel years, remembering her training.

Star Wars OC sketches, it's Quinn, fightin' n' stuff!
I drew these randomly in my spare time, they're rough, but people seem to like it when I upload sketches, hopefully they'll leave feedback... XD

Her fighting style is deceptively offensive, and very scrappy, she likes to harass her opponents, starting by immediately launching an attack and then dodging beyond their reach before suddenly turning for quick counter attacks, and then ducking back out, she favors dodging immensely over blocking, and much prefers quicker, lighter swings over heavier attacks, though if she see's a definite opening she will strike. She tends to be very mobile during combat, sometimes dodging back, and breaking into a sprint around her opponent, keeping in their blind spots before lunging in and attacking, before pirouetting back out of range and repeating, because she favors quick attacks she tends to wield her light saber one-handed, and being ambidextrous often during a spinning dodge, when her back is to the enemy mid-spin, she'll quickly switch which hand it's in, to catch her opponent off guard and keep them guessing, she also likes to mix in punches and leg-sweeps too. (Quinn is pretty skilled at unarmed combat actually. :meow: )
Quinn also makes use of the Force when fighting, sometimes for powerful push attacks, but often to aid her dodging, such as using it to maintain balance whilst executing incredibly tight turns mid-sprint, again to immediately reverse the tempo and catch her opponent off-guard.

Her whole style seems very much about offense, but it's actually designed to control the pace and tempo of the battle, the quick attack opening immediately puts the opponent on the defensive, she then backs away immediately to determine weather they'll take advantage and go on the offensive, or play it safe and cautious, her strategy simultaneously analyzes her opponent, whilst harassing them, and besides her opening attack her strategy revolves around responding to the enemy, striking between and around their attacks, harassing them, wearing them down, and perhaps finishing with a powerful Force push.
Quinn Pixel Emote - Wink (Scar) by MidoriNoHonoo  "I call my fighting style 'Passive-Aggression', which is honestly the worst form of aggression."

Not much more to say, beside that I was probably inspired to draw these sketches from playing Bloodborne, I just started it and it is so much fun, I'd say the first great game of this generation of games (there've been good games, but this is top tier), it's combat system is, for me at least, perfection, with massive importance placed on balancing aggression with evasion, dodging back and forth, before sweeping in for a quick hit or combo, before ducking out, it's so satisfying, I mean I love Demon/Dark Souls don't get me wrong, but it was always too easy for players to fall into the habit of turtling, Bloodborne eliminates that. :meow:
Buuut anyway, that's a tale for another time. XD I hope ya'll like, feedback greatly appreciated!
