The Galactic Alliance dismisses this as a rogue signal, be that as it may, I still find it alarming, particularly the references to the Empire, I cannot be certain what this means, if anything at all, the signal is far too corrupt... Recommend investigating it further however, to be safe. ~Note from Orchid Shara.

Yet more Star Wars AU sketches, one of many, many ideas! This one is set in the years soon after Quinn's death. I hadn't originally planned for anything beyond Quinn's death, that was originally going to be the closing point for my Star Wars AU... So blame SlingBlade87 for my change of heart, he has ideas for Orchid and Jaeriel beyond that point, and I couldn't help but fall head over heels in love with these ideas, sooo..... Yeah. Where Quinn's story ends, Orchid'll pick up the mantle, and carry her Legacy. JUST DO NOT ASK ME TO KILL ORCHID. I AM NOT READY TO EVEN THINK ABOUT THAT. ;_; 

Aaaanyhow, this idea revolves around a long dead beast reawakening... a remnant of the Dark Empire, a World Devastator, one so badly damaged it's AI Core gained a sense of twisted semi-sentience, unable to connect to it's long deceased brethren, or it's parent network, it falls back on it's own internal, heavily corrupted archives, searching for a directive... Within the damaged archives it finds the blueprints for "The Empire's Experimental Superweapon: Death Star", mistakenly believing itself to be a "Death Star" it begins to reconstruct itself accordingly... Ships soon start to vanish, followed by cities, and then continents are torn apart by the unknown menace, corrupted beyond comprehension... Orchid, Jaeriel, and company must now face the threat of a possible sentient Death Star - World Devastator hybrid!

All is not lost however, as this Devastator's archives are so corrupted and outdated, that it is missing vast amounts of data, even it's Death Star Schematics are outdated, meaning they include the flaws that were ironed out for the second Death Star iteration... (Fortunately the Second Death Star's schematics were lost in corrupted data)

At it appears in the sketch, the Superlaser has no where near enough power to destroy a planet, however it could easily annihilate a starship, or cause widespread continental damage... 

It is however capable of defending itself with many turbolasers, as well as constructing it's own automated fleet, however the AI for said fleets are outdated compared to modern AI, also because of it's corrupted archives the ships it produces often have glaring flaws, however in vast numbers they're still a significant threat... 

This Devastator's lingering wound may also be tied to the Shara Legacy... See here: Stars will fall. Quinn wounded it (and thought it dead), and now Orchid and her companions will finish the job.

I'm actually not sure what Jaeriel would look like post 40+ABY, like if she'd have longer hair or such... But these were just sketches! ;w; (I should've asked SlingBlade and Rayn, I'm a dumbass... ;w

By the way, I'm gonna compile the service history of the SSD Starchaser soon, just working it out.
